Examination Timetable: 

GCSE Examination Timetable – November 2022



In accordance with guidance from exam boards, before entering the exam venue, students must adhere to the following exam conditions:

  • Students must not be wearing any type of watch.
  • Students must remove any labels from their water bottle so it is transparent.
  • Students must ensure their mobile phone is switched off and in their locker.
  • Students must leave their calculator case in their bag.
  • Bags will be held in a locked room at the back of the Marie Therese Hall.
  • Students must attend in full uniform, including the correct school bag.
  • Students must be lined up outside the exam venue 10 minutes prior to the start of the examination.

Summary of 2022 Exams Announcements

The Department of Education and Ofqual published a number of documents setting out plans for GCSEs, AS levels, A levels, and vocational and technical qualifications next year. These include the following:

  • A 'decisions document’ setting out what changes will be put in place for GCSEs, AS and A levels in 2022, following the recent DfE/Ofqual consultation on this.
  • An article by new Chief Regulator Dr Jo Saxton, explaining Ofqual’s approach to grading next year, and a blog setting this out for students.
  • A consultation on the contingency arrangements for GCSEs, AS and A levels.
  • Guidance on the contingency arrangements for vocational and technical qualifications.

Results Days

Results for exams next year will return to their normal format, with AS and A levels being released on 18th August, and GCSEs on 25th August. VTQs used to progress in a similar way will be issued on or before the same days, and other VTQ results will continue to be issued throughout the year.
