St Philomena’s school has always been conscious of its Catholic duty of being stewards of the environment. Pope Benedict XVI stated “The environment is God's gift to everyone, and in our use of it we have a responsibility”. We encourage our students to walk to school or use public transport rather than using a private car.
In 2016 St Philomena’s agreed an Exclusion Zone of roads where we are requesting, parents/carers not to drop their daughter off or to park.

We are delighted to share with you that the school was awarded in 2018 the Gold Travel Plan Award. This is a wonderful achievement and testament to the hard work of all in our community.
