End of Year 12 Resit Exams

As you will be aware the Sixth Form policy for progression to Year 13 is dependent upon students achieving the entry criteria outlined below. The policy is available here.

  1. All students wishing to complete their A Level studies in Year 13 will be expected to attain a minimum of 3 D grades at the end of Year 12 (excluding EPQ) in all of their subjects

  2. All students wishing to continue with their BTEC Level 3 course will be expected to attain a minimum of a Pass grade at the end of Year 12.

Students who have not achieved a minimum of a D grade at A level or a minimum or a Pass grade for their BTEC course will be given ONE further opportunity to meet the minimum entry criteria to progress into Year 13.

Re-sit examinations will take place between Monday 1st September and Wednesday 3rd September in room MTX; enabling students to spend the summer holiday on full and in-depth revision. Please note that Monday 1st September and Tuesday 2nd September are INSET Days for staff; so students are being allowed onto site solely for the purpose of sitting these examinations.

A copy of the timetable can be found here.

The resit examination will be supervised and conducted in examination conditions.

This examination will be assessed by the Head of Department for the subject by Friday 5th September
