Art |
Students will complete an observational drawing during an Art lesson. Sketchbooks will be used to show evidence of understanding, use of materials, recording skills, and creative responses to themes across the year. |

Drama |
Students have been working on a piece of script with a partner which they will perform to their class. They will be assessed on a range of skills, the seven areas of performance [body language, pace, facial expression, posture, vocal expression, gesture and movement], creativity, use of space, facial expressions and body language along with committing their lines to memory. |

Music |
A practical performance based assessment will be completed in the classroom for each Year 9 student. The final grade will also include a culminated grade of listening tasks which have been completed and homework activities, combined with composition assessments which have taken place within the classroom. |

Physical Education |
Students will be assessed through the three strands of the PE assessment model: Head, Heart and Hands. Their knowledge of the rules (Head), leadership skills (Heart) and physical ability (Hands) will be assessed throughout the summer term in Rounders, Cricket, Tennis and Athletics. Students will receive an overall average grade, based on their performance at the time of assessment, in the sports that they have covered. |
