I am delighted to invite you to our Year 13 Mass and Prize Giving Celebration, which will take place on Friday 8th May 2026 from 1:00pm in the school Chapel. This is a significant occasion in the life of your daughter and the school, and provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, commitment, and contributions of our Year 13 students as they approach the end of their time at St Philomena’s. On behalf of the Governing Body and staff of St Philomena’s School, we warmly invite you to join us for this special event.
Event Schedule
● Parents/Carers should arrive at the Green Room from 12:45pm.
● Students should arrive at the Chapel at 12.45pm. They are not expected in school that morning unless they have an exam.
● Mass will begin promptly at 1:00pm in the Chapel.
● Following Mass, there will be a short interval before the Prize Giving Ceremony begins promptly at 2:15pm.
● We anticipate the ceremony will conclude at approximately 3:30pm.
● Afterwards, families are warmly invited to remain with us for a celebratory reception and an opportunity to take photographs.
Information for Year 13 BTEC Business Students
We recognise that some students will have a morning examination on the same day. To ensure that these students are still able to participate fully in this important occasion, the timings of the Mass, Prize giving, and celebration have been arranged accordingly. Once students have completed their examination, a suitable designated area will be available for them to change and prepare for the event.
Parking
Parking will be available on the school field via Shorts Road
As a school community, we are incredibly proud of the resilience, dedication, and accomplishments of our Year 13 students.
