Children’s Mental Health Week - Parent Webinar

Dear Parents/Carers

As we approach Children’s Mental Health Week. Children’s Mental Health Week 2026, run by charity Place2Be, takes place from 9th - 15th February 2026 with the theme 'This is My Place'. This annual event focuses on helping children feel a sense of belonging and community, which is also one of our Core Values.

During Children’s Mental Health Week, mental health will be a key theme in lessons, Celebration of the Word and within the PSHE curriculum across all year groups. Specifically, Year 8 students will participate in a wellbeing survey designed to understand more about and to support their mental and emotional health. This initiative aims to promote positive coping strategies and encourage open discussion around wellbeing.

Additionally, we are offering a parental webinar on Monday 9th February at 5.30pm. This session can be attended either online using the remote link below or in person at school in the KTC. The webinar will be delivered by Dr Lucy Vento, Clinical Psychologist and will address important topics including friendship issues, staying safe online, and self-harm, often there is a link between all three. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to gain insight and practical advice on supporting their
daughter’s social, emotional mental health.
