16-19 Tuition Fund
The 16-19 Tuition Fund is additional government funding provided to schools and colleges for one-year for schools, colleges and other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).
St Philomena's has received some funding from this allocation and will begin to roll out support for students who meet the criteria in Year 13 from Monday 1st February 2021, following the completion of Year 13 PPE's. The fund will provide external private tutors and no offer exceeds two students per tutor. Assessment data has been used to identify those students who are most at need.
This funding will go to support students in small group tuition or one to one tuition. The additional support will be online in the first instance.
Students who qualify (there is a specific criteria that the school has adhered to) will be communicated with separately by the Sixth Form Team.
Should anyone have any questions, please contact 6thform@stphils.org.uk
